Abstract:
There are significant differences in brain structure between Eastern and Western populations, and age also has a significant impact on brain structure. However, the current mainstream brain structure template (MNI152) is based on a younger Western population. Therefore, this study aimed to establish a standard template for brain structure (BABRI200) based on a large multimodal study cohort of older Chinese populations. The study also examined the effects of population and gender on the brain image alignment process. The results indicate that using templates matched to the population and gender is essential. Additionally, this study suggests the need for further investigations into brain structure related to aging in both Western and Chinese populations.
